Parking-sensor compatible positioning
KT-26 was developed and vehicle-tested to position the license plate outside the normal detection area of the R1 front parking sensors.

KramzarTech Automotive / KT-26
KT-26 provides a clean, no-drill front license plate mounting solution for the Rivian R1T and R1S. Its offset geometry is designed to maintain front parking-sensor functionality while a dual-material tow-hook clamp provides secure positioning, rotation resistance, and a compliant protective interface against the vehicle.
Designed for integration
KT-26 was developed and vehicle-tested to position the license plate outside the normal detection area of the R1 front parking sensors.
Built-in lateral adjustment allows the final plate position to be shifted slightly during installation so parking-sensor clearance can be tuned for the individual vehicle.
Attaches to the factory front tow hook without drilling or permanently modifying the vehicle.
A rigid structural mount works together with a compliant Engineering TPU Air tow-hook interface.
The compressed TPU interface conforms to the tow-hook surface and increases grip to help resist unwanted plate rotation during normal use.
The soft, compressible TPU material isolates the rigid mount from the tow-hook contact surface.
Development units have completed highway-speed road testing with stable plate positioning.

Vehicle integration
Tow-hook license plate mounting introduces a packaging challenge: the plate must be positioned securely without entering the detection area of the vehicle’s front parking sensors.
KT-26 uses an intentionally offset architecture to place the license plate away from the normal sensor detection area.
The design has been physically validated on-vehicle with the Rivian front parking sensors active.
Limited lateral adjustment allows the installer to tune the final position slightly left or right for the individual vehicle.
Verify normal parking-sensor operation after final installation.
Development evidence
KT-26 has been tested on-vehicle with the factory Rivian front parking sensors active. Offset geometry and limited lateral adjustment allow the plate position to be tuned while maintaining normal sensor operation.
KT-26 development units have been road-tested at highway speeds with stable plate positioning. No unwanted rotation or loss of position was observed during normal highway use in KramzarTech testing.
KT-26 development units have successfully completed multiple automatic car-wash cycles without observed damage or loss of position.
Dual-material engineering
KT-26 intentionally separates the structural and vehicle-interface functions of the mount.
The rigid primary structure provides the load-carrying geometry, plate support, clamp structure, and visible finish.
Engineering TPU Air provides grip, compliance, compression, and the protective contact surface against the tow hook.
Instead of asking one material to perform two conflicting jobs, KT-26 uses each material where its properties are most useful.

Material options
Every configuration uses Engineering TPU Air as the secondary contact material.
A durable general-purpose configuration with the widest selection of colors.
Specialty engineering materials and finishes for a more distinctive configuration.

Vehicle fitment
Confirmed
KT-26 has confirmed compatibility with the first-generation R1 tow-hook configuration represented by 2021–2024 production vehicles.
Physical validation pending
The compliant KT-26 tow-hook clamp architecture is expected to accommodate the Gen 2 R1 tow-hook configuration without modification. KramzarTech has not yet completed physical Gen 2 vehicle validation.
Gen 2 customers must verify that the clamp fully seats, securely retains the assembly, maintains surrounding clearance, and allows normal parking-sensor operation before road use.

Frequently asked questions
No. KT-26 attaches to the factory front tow hook and does not require drilling or permanent vehicle modification.
KT-26 was specifically developed to avoid interference with the R1 front parking sensors and has been validated on-vehicle with the sensors active. Limited lateral adjustment allows the final plate position to be tuned during installation. Verify normal parking-sensor operation after final installation.
A compliant Engineering TPU Air interface is compressed between the mount and tow hook. It conforms to the contact surface and increases grip while providing a protective interface between the rigid mount and vehicle.
Yes. KT-26 development units have completed highway-speed testing with stable plate positioning and excellent results.
Development units have successfully completed multiple automatic car-wash cycles. Automatic car-wash use is nevertheless not recommended because equipment and operating conditions vary substantially. Remove KT-26 before entering an automatic car wash.
No. KT-34 is an optional KramzarTech license plate frame shown in some KT-26 product photography. It is sold separately. KT-26 can be used without KT-34.
The compliant clamp architecture is expected to accommodate the Gen 2 R1 tow-hook configuration, but physical Gen 2 validation has not yet been completed. Gen 2 fitment must be verified before road use.
No. Remove KT-26 before using that tow hook for recovery, towing, or another load-bearing operation.
